The result left Germany crestfallen and tearful in the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup semifinal played on Wednesday. Earlier in the evening, Colombia continued their fairy tale run in the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, entering the final with a sudden-death 6-5 shootout victory over Nigeria at the PJN Stadium, Fatorda.
The 1-0 victory takes Spain to Navi Mumbai for Sunday’s final against Colombia and gives them a chance to retain the title. The result also denied Germany, playing their first semi-final ever, a chance to play their maiden final.
While on the other hand, Colombia continued their fairy tale journey in the FIFA U-17 World Cup, entering the final with a sudden-death 6-5 shootout victory over Nigeria at the PJN Stadium, Fatorda, on Wednesday.
