PONDA: The feast of St Anne was celebrated at St Anne’s Church, Ponda on Sunday. Parish Priest Fr Tony D’Souza was the main celebrant, while Fr Hermogenes Fernandes, Chaplain of St Anthony’s Chapel, Deussua, was the concelebrant. In his homily, Fr Fernandes stressed on the life of St Anne. He also called upon the faithful to care and love parents and nature. “Let’s put our Lord Jesus in centre of our life and pray to God to clear coronavirus from this world and let each and every member of the family be saved,” said Fr Hermogenes. The feast Mass was telecast live on CCRTV and via YouTube at 10 am. Fr D’Souza said due to the prevailing COVID pandemic no devotees were allowed in the church.
