PONDA: Govansha Raksha president Hanumanth Parab has filed complaint with Ponda Deputy Collector requesting him to direct the Collem Police follow the rules of Goa Government with regards to Prevention of Cruelty to Animal Act and to stop the illegal transportation of beef from Karnataka to Goa via Mollem checkpost.
He said Collem police should be active at Mollem checkpost and ensure that no vehicle is involved in the illegal transportation of beef and cattle.
Meanwhile, Ponda Police registered an offence against a Karnataka native involved in the illegal transportation of cattle from Karnataka to Goa. The vehicle has been attached.
