A fire tender from Panjim, led by station officer Sushil Moraskar, later arrived to assist in the firefighting operation.
An LED TV, a deep freezer and several other items were destroyed. The loss is estimated at around Rs 2 lakh. A short circuit in the panel board is suspected to have caused the fire.
