Strict traffic rules on VVIP route during President’s visit to Goa

PANJIM: Traffic Police said there will be traffic restrictions on VVIP route from September 5 to September 7, in view of the upcoming visit of the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind to Goa.

The Superintendent of Police (SP) Traffic has requested public not to park their vehicles along the VVIP route. 

“Public is also informed that traffic will be restricted at various points well in advance from security point of view and diversions will be affected to facilitate smooth passage of VVIP carcade,” said the Traffic police in a statement issued on Friday.

“Public is also requested to cooperate with police and follow the traffic signals during the visit of the President of India,” they added.

Any vehicle found abandoned on the road during the VVIP movement will be towed away. Motorists are requested to use alternate routes to their destinations.
