MAPUSA: Days after the ABVP affiliated students created a ruckus at the St Xavier’s College, the induction ceremony of the New Student Council was finally held on Wednesday in the college premises in the presence of the school management.
The move comes after the college management had submitted a letter to the JMFC Mapusa that it had decided to have the induction ceremony of New Student Council on Wednesday.

The Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC), Mapusa had asked both – management of St Xavier’s College and the students to amicably settle their issue of inducting new Student Council.
The ABVP on its part claimed that it emerged victorious stating that the College management had to bow down to student power. The whole student council was present for the ceremony.
