Sudin advocates longer lockdown

PONDA: Former PWD Minister and Marcaim MLA Sudin Dhavlikar welcomed the short lockdown declared by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant but claimed Government should extend lockdown from eight to fifteen days for effective control of COVID cases. He said that considering alarming rise of cases thiswould not able to achieve much.

He criticized Industrial Establishments stating that they don’t want lockdown as they worry economic loss. “I too am a businessman and would suffer loss but loss of life is biggest thing. The medical staff is also under lot of pressure and everybody wants to break the chain of COVID case and for that effective lockdown is essential,” he said.
