Sugarcane farmers, frustrated with the government’s failure to fulfil its promise to restart the ethanol plant at the Sanjivani Sugar Factory, have initiated a protest in front of the factory premises. Their agitation underscores the longstanding demand for the commencement of the promised ethanol plant.
The farmers have strongly voiced their discontent, emphasizing that until the government takes concrete steps to restart the ethanol plant, they will persist with their protest. Moreover, they have issued a warning, indicating their readiness to escalate the agitation if necessary, even considering the prospect of converging on Azad Maidan if their demands continue to be disregarded.
Highlighting their primary demand for the restart of the ethanol plant, the farmers pointed out the existence of a willing contractor prepared to oversee operations at the Sanjivani Sugar Factory.
Despite this, the government remains silent and unresponsive to their repeated appeals. The farmers have made it clear that they are determined to persist until their demand for action is met.
