PANJIM: To get a wider picture of higher education in the State, Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) is preparing an extensive database to help decision makers and stakeholders to make informed decisions in the planning process.
Also, in a bid to realise the vision of modern, effective and inclusive higher education system for building a globally competitive, innovative and sustainable society, DHE has sought views and inputs from people on different aspects of higher education.
The survey will cover all higher education institutions in the State and data will be collected on several parameters such as teachers, student enrolment, programmes, examinations, results, financial parameters, infrastructure and indicators of educational development, such as institutional density, gross enrolment ratio (GER), students teacher ratio, and gender parity index. The report will be the bedrock of information upon which the policy decision of higher education will be made.
Suggestions/inputs from people, regarding the broad spectrum and parameters that should be captured in order to make the report an exhaustive one, can be sent to the office of the DHE, Porvorim or mailed to dir-dhe.goa@nic.in with the caption GHER (Goa Higher Education Report).
