MARGAO: The Village Groups of Goa has extended full support to the victim teacher in the Chimbel school molestation case, expressing shock that the police had failed to locate the accused headmaster on the day when the complaint was lodged.
John Philip Pereira said it was also strange that the police could only locate him after he had completed the formalities for anticipatory bail, when his whereabouts were reported in the media.
“Village Groups of Goa would like to place on record its whole hearted and unconditional support to the victim teacher in her courageous fight for justice and truth that will benefit other teaches and other victims who are vulnerable to predators in the system,” Pereira said, while urging the police and Education Department to conduct an objective and unbiased investigation into this particular case and act in the matter to give relief and justice to the victim teacher.
