PANJIM: Swimming coach and alleged rape accused Surajit Ganguly’s bail application was rejected by Children Court, on Friday.
Surjit has been allegedly accused of raping and molesting a 15-year-old girl. At the time of hearing of bail application in the Children Court, Surjit’s Adv Russell Pinto approached judge for grant of bail but the judge rejected it and informed that investigation is not done yet.
After the bail rejection, Surjit’s advocate is planning to move the case in the High Court in the next week.
“Children Court is not ready to grant bail, we will approach the honorable High Court and will challenge this particular order,” Adv Russell Pinto said.
