PANJIM: A suspended executive engineer has been booked by the Anti Corruption Branch for manipulating tenders in the Public Works Department. The documents were manipulated between 2009 and 2011.
Suspended officer KH Kamaladdini and others are booked under sections 120-B, 409, 468, 471 of IPC and section 13(1) (d) read with section 13 (2) of Prevention of Corruption Act 1988.
ACB officials said the accused are charged for hatching criminal conspiracy with other government officials, public servants and private individuals by repeatedly manipulating official documents and using the same as genuine. All this happened between October 21, 2009 and November 24, 2011.
The accused are also booked for criminal misconduct for not publishing tenders which not only resulted in undue loss to the exchequer but also not getting competitive bids for the tenders.
