SWR starts 15 kms double track rail line

CURCHOREM: The South Western Railways (SWR) has commissioned 15.2 kms long double tracking railway line from Curchorem (Sanvordem) to Margao via Chandor on Sunday after completing non-interlocking work at Curchorem, Chandor and Margao. 

According to the Hubli Division Public Relations Officer, Commissioner of Railway Safety, Southern Circle, Bangalore successfully conducted statutory inspection and speed trials of this section on September 23. 

“As part of track doubling, at Margao, one new crossover has been laid with a total 163 signal routes. At Chandor, six points have been laid with 28 signal routes. At Sanvordem, 16 points and three traps have been laid with 63 signal routes,” informed the PRO.
