DABOLIM: An 18-year-old boy from Merces-Vaddem, Vasco, allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the terrace of a building in the wee hours of Wednesday.
Vasco Police received a call stating that a boy was lying unconscious below the building. A Police team rushed to the site and moved the boy to a hospital at Chicalim, where the doctors declared the boy dead on arrival.
Police further informed that the watchman of the building had noticed the boy walking around the building at about 2 am and when the watchman took his second round, he found the boy slumped to the ground and immediately informed his family, who alerted the police.
Police said after autopsy was conducted, the body was handed over to his family for final rites. PSI Gaurish Parab is investigating the case.
