MARGAO: Telaulim Village Panchayat will hold by-election in the Ward No. 3 to elect a new member on November 10, as panch Nelsa Cardoso has resigned and moved to United Kingdom.
According to the notice issued by State Election Commission, the Code of Conduct has come into effect from October 21 and filing of nominations has commenced. The results will be declared on November 11.
Incidentally, soon after this election Telaulim Panchayat will have another by-election to elect a new panch to Ward No. 1 as panch Maurice Carneiro, who was representing the ward, has also resigned and left for United Kingdom.
