MARGAO: The Goa Forwards Party (GFP) on Tuesday announced that the tender to improve the transmission network of power supply in Cuncolim has been awarded.
Disclosing that the tender amounting to Rs 8.70 crore has been awarded, GFP leader Yuri Alemao said that people of Cuncolim would shortly get a respite from the erratic power supply they suffered from for so many years.
“I thank Vijai for getting the tender awarded as Vijai had promised me that all works of Cuncolim constituency would be sanctioned and undertaken,” Yuri said.
Asserting that Goa Forward Party has not appointed Girish Chodankar as an adviser, its Vice-President Durgadas Kamat advised Girish to concentrate on his Congress Party instead of giving unsolicited advice to Vijai Sardessai.
“Girish is getting upset because Vijai is proving to be a person who does things,” Durgadas said adding that this is upsetting Girish to such an extent that he advised Vijai not to interfere with Cuncolim constituency.
“The Goa Forward Party is formed to take Goa forward and Vijai will work in all the constituencies of the State because that is the right and aim of our party,” he said.
