VASCO: Mormugao police arrested one person for robbing Rs 1.89 lakh from a vegetable store in Panjim. CISF MPT staff on suspicion nabbed the person and handed him over to Mormugao police.
Sources from the Mormugao police informed that on Monday morning CISF staff of MPT brought one person to Mormugao Police Station With Rs 1.89 lakh cash along with a broken mobile phone.
He was later arrested by Mormugao police under Section 41 of CRPC and interrogated. During the course of interrogation the arrested person disclosed his name to be Jabbar Sheikh (24) native of Jharkhand who was working in a vegetable shop in Panjim and reportedly confessed that he has stolen the said money from the shop.
Jabbar was produced before Sub divisional Magistrate Vasco on Monday and later shifted to the Panjim Police station.
