PANJIM: Three of five members of a family died in an accident while they were heading for Hubli to attend a wedding. Shakil Ahmed Durgad, 38, principal of a high school, his mother and elder daughter succumbed to injuries while his wife and two children are undergoing treatment at a private hospital for serious injuries.
The Panjim-based family met with an accident on the Pune Bangalore road near Hubli.
While Shakil, who was driving the car and his mother died on-the-spot; the elder daughter Subiya succumbed in the hospital.
