‘Tourism master plan will take more time’

Letters will be sent to ZPs and panchayats and suggestions sought

PANJIM: Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar declared on Tuesday that work on drafting of the tourism master plan had begun a month back and it would take another 34 weeks or a little more than eight months to complete. The work was taking time since the plan would be relevant for the next 25 years, he claimed.
“We will take all the 40 MLAs into confidence. We will also take panchayats and zilla panchayats on board,” the tourism minister said.
“We will send a letter to ZPs and panchayats and ask for suggestions. We will give them a time frame,” he said. Parulekar said that the consultants had already been given various suggestions from sarpanchas, ZPs etc.
