Tourists From Maharashtra Booked in Porvorim for Using Fake ‘Police’ Signboard on Private Car

Porvorim Police have taken action against a group of tourists from Maharashtra after they were found using a “Police” signboard on their private vehicle in an apparent attempt to avoid inspection. The car was intercepted during routine patrolling, and checks revealed that none of the occupants had any connection with the police force.

The accused were arrested under Section 35 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNSS) and produced before the Sub-Divisional Magistrate in Mapusa. They were later released on bond.
