PANJIM: The workers under the banner of All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) State unit on Friday observed black day and staged demonstrations at Azad Maidan, Panjim condemning the brutal murder of a young farmer Shubhakaran Singh at Khanauriand Shambhu border by Haryana and Central government police force.
“The workers and farmers always demand that right to demonstrate, strike, agitate, raise their demands and issues is fundamental and democratic right. We will fight for the same,” the AITU leaders said.
The demonstrators reiterated to continue the workers-farmers unity developed in course of time and to go in solidarity action with any future call by the Samyukt Kisan Morcha.
(SKM) to fight against the anti-worker, anti-farmer and anti-national government, which is promoting corporate communal nexus.
