VASCO: Union Minister for AYUSH Shripad Naik has claimed that the Ayurveda and age-old traditional medicine can cure Coronavirus affliction.
According to Naik, a doctor from Bangalore treated UK’s Prince Charles with Ayurvedic and Homeopathic medicines for Coronavirus, after which the results for COVID-19 tests came negative.

“Dr Mathai from Bangalore, who has a Ayurvedic resort, had called me and informed me over telephone that his formula has become successful on the UK’s Prince Charles, who was treated for Coronavirus with the combination of Ayurveda and Homeopathy. And his test results for CoVID19 have come negative,” Naik told the media persons here.
This, he said, show that Ayurveda has medicine for the COVID-19 disease.
Naik said that in today’s time if people want scientific documentation, scientific validation of such age-old traditional medicine, it can be done. “We are in the process of taking the formula of such medicine and putting it in a scientific validation, conducting research on such medicine and to present it before people,” he said.
When questioned whether the Ayurvedic scientists should be given opportunity for more research, Naik responded in the affirmative but quickly added that the medicine should be first scientifically validated and then used, for such traditional medicine there is no side effect.
