The Office of the District Magistrate, North Goa, has issued a comprehensive traffic and parking advisory in preparation for the Novenas and feast of St. Francis Xavier at Old Goa from November 25, 2023, to December 04, 2023.

1. Panjim to Old Goa via Ribandar:
– Special buses will ferry passengers from Panjim to Old Goa via Ribandar.
– Two-wheelers and four-wheelers will park at Bhakia Bus Stand after reaching Dempo Engineering at Old Goa.
2. Panjim to Old Goa via Kadamba By-Pass:
– Panjim to Ponda route buses will be diverted via Kadamba By-Pass (NH-748).
– Heavy and medium vehicles will follow Kadamba By-Pass on specified days.
3. South Goa Vehicles:
– Vehicles will follow a one-way route from Pilar to Old Goa.
– Four-wheelers from South Goa will park at Ella Farm Gate, while two-wheelers have designated parking areas.
4. Ponda Side Vehicles:
– Two-wheelers and four-wheelers will park behind Pinto Garage.
– Traffic from Ponda to Panjim will use Old Goa Over Bridge – Kadamba By-Pass.
5. Divar Side Vehicles:
– Vehicles will proceed via Viceroy’s Arch and park at St. Cajetan Church.
– Specific routes for vehicles from Ponda, Gaundaulim, and Panjim via Ribandar are detailed.
Parking Lots:
– Parking arrangements are specified for each route, including Bhakia Property, Ella Farm, open spaces, and private properties.
Road Closures:
– The stretch of road between Old Goa Church junction to Gandhi Circle will be closed, allowing only emergency vehicles.
– The ring round road from Old Goa Church junction will be one-way towards Divar side.
Special Instructions:
– Church vehicles will have designated parking areas.
– The Old Goa Police Station to Church junction road will be one-way.
– Specific instructions are given for each vehicle category and route.
