Traffic plan for CM’s swearing-in ceremony

PANJIM: In view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the State on Monday to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium,  Taleigao Plateau, the following traffic diversion plan has been released by the Superintendent of Traffic Police.

As per the advisory, the buses coming with public to attend the function will take the road via Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim junction-Goa University road to come up to the parking lot in the open space adjacent to the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium for parking.

Buses coming from South Goa will take the route via Borim-Ponda-Banastari-Merces Junction-GMC Junction for parking in the plot adjacent to Mukherjee Stadium.

The police said that the movement of vehicular traffic will be restricted on the route from NIO Circle, Dona Paula to GMC Bambolim from 10 am to 11 am and from 12 noon to 12.30 pm for security reasons.

The Traffic Police have requested the motorists not to park their vehicles on the route of the VVIP and to take alternate route for their onward journey to ensure smooth flow of traffic during the visit of Prime Minister.
