Translation of major laws soon

The work of translation of major laws will be undertaken immediately after preparing the various terminologies in Konkani for which terminology committee has been constituted in Konkani to under translation of major laws.
this was revealed by Chief Minister Digambar Kamat in his written reply to a question tabled by St Cruz MLA , Victoria Fernandes.
She had sought to know whether the government is serious about translating major laws of Goa in Konkani and Marathi so that people who are not conversant with English language benefit.
The Chief Minister in reply today said such proposal is under consideration of the government.
Also, Marathi Academy has been approached for translation of major laws in Marathi language, he said.
