Tree falls on jeep, driver escapes

CANACONA: A jeep driver had a narrow escape when a tree came crashing down on the vehicle at Ordhofond-Canacona. Traffic along the NH17 was blocked for over half an hour. According to fire sources, the windscreen of the jeep (GA-08-E-0713) was damaged when the tree came crashing down on the highway at Ordhofond late Thursday evening. The jeep belonged to Ulhas Fugro  of Poinguinim.
