CURCHOREM: Curchorem Fire and Emergency Services received more than 19 calls informing about uprooting of trees from various places under their jurisdiction on Friday.
According to the Watch Room Operator, many trees had uprooted and fallen on the roads and houses in Curchorem and surrounding areas particularly at Quepem. A tree fell on a house at Curchorem near the railway station causing a loss of Rs 25,000 and at Kattiar-Amona a tree and a coconut tree fell on the houses separately causing a loss of Rs 10,000 and 20,000 respectively. No injuries were reported.
