Protesters stated that the tribal community has been seeking adequate political representation for years and stressed that reservation in the Assembly is necessary to ensure that tribal voices and concerns are properly represented in the state’s decision-making process.

The demonstrators also appealed to the government to take concrete steps toward resolving the issue at the earliest and avoid further postponement of the matter.

The protest witnessed participation from representatives of multiple tribal associations and community members from different parts of the state.
