PONDA: Tribal Minister Govind Gaude once again visited the flood-affected people of Vagurmem and Volvoi on Saturday.
As the flood water receded early morning, the people were busy clearing the mud from in their houses. They complained of incurring losses on account of damage to their goods. Ponda Fire Personnel helped clearing the mud deposited on the roads.
Gaude inspected the three houses which collapsed due to flooding. He said the members of three families who were rendered homeless have been temporarily shifted to Farmagudi Temple Hall. He said the three houses will be reconstructed through tribal welfare fund and asked the affected people to apply for the same. A house which was totally submerged at Vagurmem was also inspected.
