CUNCOLIM: Cuncolim Police arrested two and are on the lookout for three others for assaulting one Sofiyan Shaikh (19) from Comba Paricotto in Cuncolim.
The two arrested accused are identified as Deepesh Dessai and Harish Bahadur both from Cuncolim, while the three absconding accused are Gurudas Dessai, Shubham Borkar and Kalpesh Shorodkar.
The police have booked the accused under Sections 504, 341, 323, 324, 506(2), 427, 356, 379, 500 and 507 of IPC. Police informed that all the five accused assaulted Sofiyan Shakh with belt, iron road and wodden danda.
The accused recorded the incident on their mobile and posted it on the social media, where it has gone viral.
In his complaint, Shaikh stated that Kalpesh Shirodkar had threatened him with dire consequences. The accused also snatched his wallet containing four thousand rupees.
PI Sudesh Naik is investigating the case.
