PANJIM: Crime Branch (CB) on Tuesday arrested two persons for running sex trade and rescued three girls in a raid on a spa in Mapusa.
Sex trade was allegedly run in a spa and beauty parlour located at Morod, following which the CB team laid a trap and raided the venue.
As per details shared by CB, three girls from Mumbai, Jharkhand and Bihar were rescued and sent to the Protective Home, while the owner of the spa, Deborah Rodrigues, 45, of Porvorim and one male Mata Ambar Chaudhary, 31, from Peddem in Mapusa but originally hailing from Utter Pradesh were arrested.
The arrested accused will be produced before a local court on Wednesday for remand even as they are being interrogated.
