PONDA: Ponda Police on Friday arrested two persons namely Yogesh Shamba Kalangutkar (25), resident of Honda-Sattari and Rajesh Dayaram Ayyar (20), from Mapusa, in connection with theft of mobiles.
The police have recovered two stolen mobiles from the accused, wherein one is costing around Rs 16,000 and another Rs 14,000.

During the interrogation, the alleged accused persons confessed of stealing the mobiles from Kundaim and Bhoma areas. In a modus operandi, the accused persons used to take a lift from the bike riders and conduct theft of their mobile phones while on the move.
The Ponda Police is conducting further inquiries into the matter.
