Two houses damaged in wall collapse at Madkai

PONDA: Two mud houses in Parampai, Madkai, were damaged when a mud wall collapsed due to heavy rain. 

The incident occurred at around 3.30 am when the wall of a house belonging to Pratap Naik collapsed on the house of Gokuldas Naik. 

The families residing in both the houses escaped unhurt. Pratap Naik was alone in the house as his family members had gone to visit a relative, while Gokuldas’ family members were in the other room when the incident occurred. 

The locals have urged the government to provide assistance in reconstructing these houses.

The said that heavy rain and winds also caused trees, electricity conductors, and wires to fall, resulting in a power shutdown in the Parampai area.

A mango tree fell on a house belonging to Ravindra Nageshkar in Nageshi, Bandora, causing damage, while another house of Krishna Naik collapsed in Veling-Priol due to heavy rains.
