MARGAO: Pale Comunidade members have criticised the Administrator of Comunidades, South Zone, over the delay in clearing matters regarding fresh appointments to the Comunidade which is based in Velsao.
Addressing media persons at the South Zone Comunidade Administrator’s office, Pale Comunidade’s former attorney Roqeuzinho D’Souza pointed out that the previous term of the Pale Comunidade’s managing committee ended in 2022, but despite sending the fresh nominations, the administrator had not given them the appointment for the last two years.
He also referred to a letter from the Deputy Collector to the Administrator to clear the matter at the earliest.
D’Souza, a senior citizen, expressed his surprise over the long delay and whenever he visited the office the Administrator was never available.
He added that if the official, who is holding additional charge as the Administrator, cannot handle the responsibility, he should inform the government and a suitable replacement should be found immediately, in the interest of the public.
