MAPUSA: Ucassaim-Paliem and Punalo villagers have objected to the alleged illegal construction of a bore well without obtaining permission and demanded action against the violators.
A group of women from Ucassaim confronted sarpanch Anand Gadekar and raised their objections to the alleged illegal construction of bore well.
The women claimed that the people are already facing water problems and constructing an illegal bore well cannot be allowed.
The villagers claimed that four years ago, the panchayat had passed a resolution, stating that no permission be given to construct a bore well in the village. They further demanded that the said bore well construction be stopped.
The sarpanch said,”I have inspected the site and have asked the concerned person to stop the work and restart the work only after obtaining all the permissions. Notice will be sent to defaulter”.
