An attempted burglary at a locked ancestral house near Datta Temple in Dattawadi, Mapusa, has prompted a police investigation. The incident was discovered when a housekeeping staff member arrived to clean the residence and found the main door lock broken.
The property owner later inspected the house and noticed damage to an internal door, with several household items found scattered across the premises. Despite signs of forced entry and disturbance inside the house, preliminary checks indicated that no valuables were missing.

The incident has been reported to Mapusa Police, who have launched an investigation to identify those responsible. The complainant has also appealed for increased night patrolling in the area to prevent similar incidents.
