VASCO: Verna Police have arrested a 36-year-old Uttar Pradesh native one Pawan Kumar for allegedly committing theft of machines from leased premises at IDC Verna.
Acting on a complaint, Verna Police informed that an unknown person stole a welding machine, two drill machines, an impact drill, two grinder machines and copper cables all worth Rs 35,000 from the complainant’s leased premises at Navdeep Laundry, Plot No 5, next to VRL Company at IDC Verna. During investigation it was revealed that the crime was committed by the security guard of the premises who was absconding. With assistance of informers and LIB staff, the security guard Pawan was traced at Loutolim.
During interrogation he confessed to the crime and the police recovered the stolen machines at Loutolim.
An offence under section 380 IPC has been registered.
