Vinay Dessai, a 44-year-old resident of Xelvona, who had been missing since attending a Holi celebration with his family at the Zuari River in Baga Xelvona, has been tragically found at Kapshem after 20 hours of having been missing. His body was discovered floating in the river near Curchorem. The family had gathered by the river to celebrate the festival and take a bath when Vinay went missing. They realized something was wrong when they emerged from the water and noticed he was no longer with them.
A search operation was immediately launched, with authorities from the Curchorem police and fire brigade working tirelessly to locate him. The operation, which had been temporarily halted the previous evening due to darkness, resumed today, leading to the successful recovery of Vinay’s body.
