VASCO: Foundation stone of new fire station building was laid down on Wednesday by the Vasco MLA Carlos Almeida in the presence of BJP Goa President Sadanand Shet Tanavade. Almeida said that the project will be completed within 18 months at an estimated cost of Rs14 crore.
He requested Director of Fire Service to upgrade the equipment and also have a vehicle with high post ladder.
Commenting on the pending KTC bus stand project, Almeida said that as KTC chairman he could be held partially responsible but also added that they had technically not got approval for KTC project.
BJP President Sadanand Shet Tanavade who had come to meet BJP volunteers and Vasco constituency said that there are no deliberate attempts to sideline Vasco BJP MLA Carlos Almeida.
He further added that as 2022 elections are fast approaching, many aspirants will plan to contest but the BJP will continue its programs.
