VASCO MURDER: Police conduct flag march from Baina to Mangor Hill

Citizens have appreciated the move by the police and have demanded for such marches take place more often in order to keep the crimes under control.

VASCO: The Vasco police conducted a flag march from Baina to Mangor Hill on Tuesday evening against the backdrop of the tense situation in the port town after the broad daylight murder of Umesh Harijan on Monday. 

Police thoroughly inquired about the whereabouts of the ones having a criminal background and those wandering around, and have been given a stern warning against disturbing law and order.

Vasco PI Kapil Nayak said, “The Vasco police are taking all the measures to maintain the law and order of the town. If someone attempts to disturb it then they will not be spared.” 

Port town’s law and order system has come under criticism by citizens after Harijan’s murder in broad daylight in Katem-Baina on Monday to instil confidence the flag march led by PSI Swapnil Naik was conducted on Tuesday.
