Vasco Police asks Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandals to install CCTVs, curtail use of fire crackers

Vasco Traffic Cell Police Inspector Shailesh Narvekar has also requested Mandals to deploy volunteers to streamline the queue and avoid crowding near the pandals.

VASCO: The Vasco Police have asked all the Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandals to erect CCTVs, and fire extinguishers and to provide private security guards 24×7 to ensure that no untoward incidents take place during the festival. 

Vasco Police Station Police Inspector Kapil Nayak and Vasco Traffic Cell Police Inspector Shailesh Narvekar recently held a meeting with the members of the Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandals from the port town regarding security measures to be taken during the festival.

The police have requested Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandals to avoid the use of fireworks so as to cut down noise pollution and to have a separate entry and exit gate for the people visiting the pandals. 

Vasco Traffic Cell Police Inspector Shailesh Narvekar has also requested Mandals to deploy volunteers to streamline the queue and avoid crowding near the pandals.

Police Inspector Narvekar has also asked all the Mandal representatives to ensure that during the immersion nobody should consume alcohol failing which appropriate action will be taken against them.
