Vasco to join Bharat Bandh

Most of the commercial establishments, bus operators and transporters in port town have decided to shut down its operation on Monday to support the Bharat Bandh called by BJP.
Most of the shop owners in the vegetable market, fruit vendors, shops and establishment owners have informed that they would remain close on Monday, as BJP workers have asked them to remain close to support the cause to roll back of hiked fuel price.
The BJP workers since Saturday evening were seen distributing leaflets and asking most of the commercial establishments to remain close to on Monday.
The private bus operators at a meeting at Kadamba bus stand on Sunday decided to remain off the road. They unanimously decided to remain off the road since the State administration has failed to assure them of providing security. Similarly, the transporters in Mormugao Port Trust will also remain off the road.
“The tourist taxi counter at Dabolim airport would also remain close, besides other vehicles at airport would also remain off the road,” informed Tourist Taxi Union President Prashad Prabhugaokar.
Mormugao Sub Divisional Police Officer and DySP Mahesh Gaonkar said police force in Mormugao taluka is geared up to tackle any sought of problem.
, as they are on their toes to face Monday’s Bandh.
