VASCO: A Vasco youth has written to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi complaining that historical sites in Goa are being neglected by the State Archives and Archaeology department.
In his letter to Modi, Vasco youth Kiran Naik writes, “Many of the forts in Goa are presently in bad state despite the fact that the sites are protected under Archaeology department. I hope that you will direct the department concerned to take immediate action.”
Naik was thrilled to get a reply from the Prime Minister within 7 days. In response to Naik’s letter, the office of Prime Minister (PMO) on January 9, directed the State directorate of Archives and Archaeology department to look into the suggestions made by the youth for restoration of forts and to take necessary action in the matter.
