The Urban Development Minister Joaquim Alemao on Thursday requested the departments of police and Vigilance to finalize investigations pertaining to illegalities in the CCP.
Replying to the allegations made by Opposition MLAs, the Urban Development minister on the floor of the House stated that if the two departments do not finalize the pending investigations into complaints of illegalities in CCP within three months, then a House Committee would be set up.
There have been complaints of illegalities in allotment of shops in phase I and II of the new market complex, pay parking scam, allotment of space in the new market, which were highlighted by the opposition members in the House.
The pay parking scam having involvement of the city corporators came to light some months ago. However, police are yet to make any break through.
The Minister urged the two departments to finish with investigation within three months as his ministry has to face embarrassment.
