MARGAO: TCP and Agriculture Minister Vijai Sardesai had a review meeting to take stock of robberies, patrolling and other issues.
The meeting was held with the South Goa Superintendent of Police Arvind Gawas, Margao Police Inspector C L Patil, Traffic Deputy Superintendent of Police Prabodh Shirwaiker and others.
The discussion on the proposed Fatorda Police Station was also held. The TCP minister has informed that he has asked the Home Department to allot 50 more police personnel for patrolling in Fatorda areas. The Minister has also congratulated the Margao town police for successfully apprehending three dacoits on Friday night.
Sources have suggested that the Fatorda MLA has completed the process on his election promise to have a separate police station for Fatorda which will become operative soon.
