“There has been a steady improvement in the Wagh’s medical condition and he has been taken off the ventilator. He will, however, continue to remain in the hospital for treatment during the next few days,” it further reads.
The doctors have also advised to restrict the number of visitors calling on the St Andre MLA – currently under medication and observation in the ICU.
Wagh was shifted to GMC by a 108 Ambulance after he complained of illness while attending a birthday celebration of BJP vice president Anil Hoble. He suffered a heart attack in the hospital, where an emergency angioplasty was carried out on him. Doctors said two major blocks that resulted in the attack were successfully removed. The legislator continues to remain under strict medical observation.
