Wanted Russian national held at Dabolim Airport

VASCO: A Russian national facing Interpol’s red corner notice was arrested on Tuesday from Dabolim international airport by airport police. The Russian was wanted by Russian police in a drug case.
According to the police, the man, identified as Petr Artem Shalaginov, a Russian passport holder and presently residing at Vagator, was apprehended by an officer at the International Departure Immigration Counter at the Dabolim Airport while he was intending to depart to Sharjah UAE in a Air Arabia flight on Tuesday.
He was required under the lookout circular and red corner notice that originated by National Bureau of Investigation,  International Police Cooperation unit Delhi and wanted by Russian Police for storage or transfer of narcotic drugs. 
“We have intimated to CBI India Interpol New Delhi for further necessary action in the matter. The said person has been placed under arrest under Section 41 of CrPC so as to hand over him to CBI, AD/NCB New Delhi. FRRO Panjim has been requested to inform the concerned Embassy about his arrest,” police said.
