MAPUSA: Water supply to Colvale and Karaswada areas was affected on Thursday following a pipeline burst.
The 150mm water pipeline burst at Colvale due to the ongoing highway work which resulted in massive water wastage.
Water supply to Central Jail, Colvale and Karaswada areas was also affected.
Later, the PWD carried out the repair work on a war footing and restored the water supply by 7 pm.
This is the second such incident in the last two months.
Last week the main pipeline supplying water to whole of Bardez was damaged.
The PWD officials had tough time to repair the damaged pipeline.
