VASCO: Cortalim MLA Alina Saldanha on Friday launched works worth Rs 37 lakh through PWD – Water Division at Zuarinagar, in Sancoale.
The works include laying of 100 mm DI water pipeline from MDR near Mahadev Gawas house to Hanuman Temple and improvement of water supply at Zorint, Zuarinagar and surrounding areas.
In the press release, Saldanha stated, “The residents of both these areas approached me due to water problems faced and accordingly proposals were put up to the PWD for laying the much needed pipelines to augment water to the residents of these areas.”
The MLA expressed joy as finally the works are being executed and shortly people’s woes related to water will end.
