Panjim: On the night of October 17, a major disruption in the water supply to Bardez taluka, affecting areas like Aldona, Calangute, and Saligao, occurred due to significant damage to a 1000 mm water supply pipeline at Colvale. Repair efforts are currently in progress, with only the concreting work remaining to be completed.
The burst pipeline has had a considerable impact on the entire Bardez taluka, necessitating urgent repairs to restore the regular water supply. Chief Engineer Santosh Mhapne has stated that the repair work is advancing swiftly, and water is expected to be restored by late tonight.
